|
Chicago based biotechnology firm seeks a self-motivated full-time Senior Research Scientist to make a significant contribution to our exciting new and ongoing research in the area of wound healing and malignant hypothermia on large-scale animals. Individual will perform complex technical and scientific duties associated with the development of new and innovative products. Individual will be responsible for design, execution, data analysis and reporting for internal product development as well as contract research activities.
The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills as well as the ability to effectively manage time distributed among multiple projects. The successful candidate must have excellent analytical and organizational skills as well as a diverse and effective methodology portfolio. Experience in animal research, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of anesthetics, electronics and electro/mechanical operations pertaining to bio-instrumentation, knowledge in polymer chemistry, biomechanics and injury inducing biomechanical and physiological effects, strong computer skills (knowledge in Matlab and Labview) and strong familiarity with GMP and GLP are preferred.
Candidate should possess a PhD (or MS with 3+ years of experience) in Bioengineering, Biopharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Physiology, Biophysics or related field. Experience or knowledge in pharmaceutical regulatory environment is a strong plus.
