General Schedule Specialized experience:The best qualified candidate for this position must show in their resume training and experience in the following area: 1) Knowledge of DA mobilization plans and of Army personnel mobilization policy and procedures. (2) Knowledge of the Armys contingency plan for crisis actions and repatriation operations. 3.) Knowledge in collecting real world intelligence data for use in the development of briefings for presentation.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must meet the Time in Grade Restriction.One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.Must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade (or equivalent).GS-12 and above: One year of experience directly related to the occupation and equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. There is no substitution of education for experience at this level.

MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop();
The incumbent will serve as a Plans and Operations officer within the U.S. Total Army Personnel Commands (PERSCOMs) Operations Center responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the daily activities and functions of the PERSCOM Operations Center (POC). You will be responsible for coordinating Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA), JCS, and theater Commander-in-Chief (CINC) Operation Plans (OPLANs) to ensure that PERSCOM can adequately execute its assigned tasks. You will serve as a coordinator and liaison officer with mobilization points of contact in the other PERSCOM directorates. The incumbent develops exercise plans and represents the PERSCOM Commander, the directorate head, and/or his/her branch chief at meetings, conferences, and briefings. During crisis situations, the incumbent will perform the duties of PERSCOM liaison officer in the PCC of the Army Operations Center. Provides timely and accurate personnel augmentee support to the PCC and to the ODCSOPS.

About the Position: DCSOPS plans and executes HRC support for Army contingency operations; develops and analyzes personnel programs and policies; manages the Armys Military Occupational and Classification Grade Structure and selected human engineering programs; and coordinates and executes cross-directorate actions.

Incumbent may be required to work 8 to 12 hours shifts, 7 days a week during military operations, contingencies, and operations other than war.
