| JOB REQUIREMENTS |
|
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Six months of experience in receiving, storing, and issuing stock.
Physical Requirement: Successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination. Absence of back problems or any other physical impairments that would preclude safe and efficient operation of equipment or lifting of weights up to 50 pounds.
License and Automobile Requirement: Possession of a valid California Class C Driver License.
Insurance Requirement: Evidence of adequate insurance for a motor vehicle which meets or exceeds the California legal liability insurance requirement and continue to maintain insurability.
Special Requirement: Positions in this classification, which are assigned to the Correctional Education Program, must pass, and maintain successfully, a pre-employment security clearance investigation by the Sheriff's Department.

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, TASKS |
|
Typical Duties
·Receives material and equipment.
·Checks invoices and deliveries for accuracy.
·Decides storage location.
·Lifts and/or moves stock by hand or by use of hand carts or forklift to shelve or floor storage locations.
·Retrieves and issues stock upon proper request.
·Maintains stock inventory.
·Prepares stock for shipment.
·May use shrink wrap, strapping or other safe bundling equipment or techniques.
·Opens or assembles boxes.
·Uses various devices such as electronic or manual weight scales, pallet jacks, sealers, tape guns and air staple guns in the course of work.
·Makes arithmetic calculations.
·Drives a vehicle to deliver goods.
·May temporarily use services of clients to assist in any of the warehouse or production activities in the course of their warehouse training.

·Learn operation and correct storage locations;
·Make correct arithmetic calculations.
