Our company is a leading technology solution provider (computer systems integrator) specializing in technology products, software development and professional services. Located in New York’s financial district, our firm is seeking a highly motivated, full time Software Application Developer/Programmer. This position requires the ability to work in a dynamic environment utilizing cutting edge technology.
Summary:
The candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining and building upon existing applications for the insurance and financial markets. Knowledge of these markets, grid computing and GIS is a plus. The ideal applicant will be passionate about software development and eager to join a team of experts and overachievers that develop innovative applications, considered by many to be ahead of its time. The candidate needs to be proud of his/her work, eager to learn and understand new technologies, and a “thinking outside the box” personality.
Qualifications of Serious Candidates:
Knowledge of Sharepoint, will train but preference will go to those with experience
Experience with MS SQL database
Experience using Visual Basic, C/C++ or Java
Knowledge of VB.NET, ASP.NET technology is a must
Knowledge of XML and DHTML is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Self started personality
Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented collaborative environment
Certifications in Microsoft Technologies a plus
