VX-JL-167145 VOUCHER EXAMINER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Minimum Qualifications GS-7 Possess at least one year of specialized experience to qualify at the GS-7 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the Voucher Examiner. To be creditable, this experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-6 level in the federal service. Examples of such experience are: Using an automated financial management system in support of the financial operations of the organization. Processing petty cash transactions. Serving as alternate agent cashier. Auditing agent cashier deposits and replenishments. Auditing purchase credit card statements and reviewing supporting documentation. Ensure credit card charges are charged to the correct account. Examining vouchers, invoices, claims, and other requests or payment for goods and services. Major duties and responsibilities include: · Using an automated financial management system in support of the financial operations of the organization. · Processing petty cash transactions. · Serving as alternate agent cashier responsible for safeguarding of cash, unused checks, and records to account for the disbursement of funds. · Auditing agent cashier deposits and replenishments. · Auditing government purchase credit card (Citibank/Visa) statements and reviewing supporting documentation. · Coordinating with accounting to insure all credit card charges are charged to the correct account. · Examining vouchers, invoices, claims, and other requests or payment for goods and services provided to or by the government or for reimbursement of expenditures for travel and transportation, for accuracy, adequacy of documentation or citations, compliance with regulations, and justification. · Verifying cost data and availability of funds. · Authorizing all work-study agreements. · Recommending approval/disapproval of the completion of services under a work study agreement. · Recommends management changes that will reduce or eliminate justified complaints regarding payment processing. ***RELOCATION EXPENSES AND/OR INCENTIVES ARE NOT AUTHORIZED***
