Trades and Labor Best Qualified candidates for this job must show in their resume that they have training or experience in the following areas:Experience involving the maintenance, repair, and modification of heavy duty vehicles and mobile equipment which have utility systems or special hydraulic pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems, features, or controls; i.e., bulldozers, road graders, crawler tractors, power shovels, cranes, locomotives, cranes, large missile transporters, and fire trucks. Recruitment Incentive and PCS paid Must be new hire to Federal Government or have a break in service from Federal Government. Must incur two year obligation within Department of Defense. Must start on or before 30SEP08. $3000.00 Recruitment bonus. PCS paid for the first official duty station. NCDE08400034 HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT REPAIR INSPECTOR Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - UT - Salt Lake City MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); Conduct final inspections of heavy mobile equipment/vehicles & components. Conducts initial inspections to include troubleshooting equipment/making adjustments/removing & replacing parts/accessories & components. Evaluate work. Use a variety of technical manuals & manufacturers specifications to determine requirements. Ensures quality control is maintained. Complete a variety of inspection reports & forms. Review work/job orders. Repair & adjust brake mechanism, replace brake shoe lining, wheel cylinders, & master cylinders. Remove & clean/replace fuel tanks, spark plugs, adjusts tappets, changes/adjusts distributor points. Removes & replaces major components/assemblies. May also conduct initial, in-progress, & final inspections on a variety of combustion powered automotive vehicles/over-the-road trucks/comparable vehicles such as cars, pickup trucks, semi-trailer truck tractors, warehouse tractors and light combat vehicles.
