Trades and Labor Recruitment Bonus and PCS paid Must be new hires to the Military Technician program and must incur a two year obligation within the Department of Defense. Must start on or before 30SEP08. $3000.00 Recruitment bonus. PCS paid for the first official duty station. NCDE07444509D HEAVY MOBILE EQUIPMENT REPAIRER Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - WI - Ft McCoy & Tomah areas MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); Performs repairs of automotive, heavy mobile and powered support equipment such as bulldozers, air compressors, etc. Complete repairs on work orders; test for no further complications. Locate worn, dirty or poorly adjusted parts and makes necessary repairs such as cleaning carburetors/distributors; make idling adjustments; replace and set points and plugs, voltage regulators, and other comparable items; removes, cleans and replaces fuel tanks and radiators. Remove/replace power packs, road wheel arms and hub assemblies. Perform variety of less complex maintenance functions such as replacing fluids, changing the oil and oil filters, lubricating, and repairing tires. May perform daily and other preventive maintenance checks and services on equipment while in the shop. May perform minor bodywork, minor repairs to canvas items like tents. Perform simple sticking and patching. Provide technical assistance to unit personnel on performance of operator, organizational maintenance procedures.
