Trades and Labor Best Qualified candidates for this job must show in their resume that they have training or experience in the following areas:Experience in fabricating, overhauling, modifying, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining ground, airborne, and marine electronic equipment, such as: radio; radar; sonar; cryptographic; satellite; microwave; micro computers and peripherals; laser; infrared; industrial x-ray; marine, aeronautical, and space navigation aid; TV receiver; surveillance; and similar devices. Knowledge of electronic principles and skill in using manual and automated test equipment. Recruitment Incentive and PCS paid Must be new hire to Federal Government or have a break in service from Federal Government. Must incur two year obligation within Department of Defense. NCDE07148507DR ELECTRONICS MECHANIC Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - IL - Throughout Illinois MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); WG-09: Incumbent works under close supervision and works in a developmental capacity performing assignments and completing training, both of which are aimed in preparing the incumbent to gain knowledge and skills necessary to perform duties of the next higher/target level grade duties. Duties at full performance WG-10: Install, overhauls, maintains and repairs a variety of electronic components, relates devices, and equipment. The majority of electronic items serviced are not combined and interrelated with other electronic equipment and complementary devices. Conduct inspections, diagnoses malfunctions and troubleshoots to determine causes of defects. Use all types of test equipment. Provide technical assistance to unit personnel on equipment operation and organizational maintenance procedures. Instruction is usually provided as on-the-job training.
