For more information on Army Reserve membership, please click the following link: http://cpolwapp.belvoir.army.mil/help/VAB/miltech.html QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE: : Experience involving the maintenance, repair, and modification of heavy duty vehicles and mobile equipment which have utility systems or special hydraulic pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, or electronic systems, features, or controls; i.e., bulldozers, road graders, crawler tractors, power shovels, cranes, locomotives, cranes, large missile transporters, and fire trucks. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is predominantly performed in the shop area but there may be a requirement to work outside in inclement weather. Inside work is done where it is drafty, noisy, and fumes from vehicles are usually present. Workers must stand on hard surfaces. Outside repairs are sometimes done in bad weather. Worker is subject to minor cuts, bruises, strains, electrical shocks, skin irritants, carbon monoxide, gasoline and solvent fumes. Working conditions have been considered in the evaluation of this position. PHYSICAL EFFORT: Work requires frequent bending, reaching and climbing. Works on top of or under equipment in cramped or awkward positions. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds.
