About the Position:
Name and Location of Organization: 377 Theater Support Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, G1, Belle Chasse, LA
This Position is under the supervision of the: Human Resource Officer.
Description of the office and working environment: Work in a modern office building at a workstation. Directs the Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention training program and substance screening program for the command and five subordinate commands. Mentor's and manages the unit prevention leader training program. Interprets DA and USARC policy for ADCO programs and advises the command on program standards/procedures. Establishes awareness campaigns for unit members and their dependents.

MAJOR DUTIES:

Plan/manage/implement commands ADAPCP prevention & education program. Receive/review/analyze regulatory guidance & policies; interpret/consolidate information into directives, standard operating procedures & supplements. Conduct on-site visits to commands/units to monitor program participation & evaluate program effectiveness. Provide preventative training program on alcohol/drug abuse; develop training programs; promote/participate in Drug Awareness Campaigns. Coordinate biochemical drug testing & HIV testing. Develop budgetary data regarding ADAPCP & DDR programs, for inclusion in Command Operating Budget (COB) in areas of manpower/training/supplies/etc. Coordinate/monitor Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS) program. Monitor/review medical TDY for reserve personnel. Plan/implement Drug Demand Reduction (DDR) Program. Serve as member of command program groups such as Human Relations Council; Health Promotion Council; Alcohol & Drug Dependency Intervention Council.
