QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
You must have one year of specialized experience at a level close to the work of this job that has given you the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities required to successfully perform. Typically we would find this experience in work within this field or a field that is closely related.
QUALIFICATIONS:One (1) year, equivalent to the GS-6 grade level, of experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position.
You will need to successfully complete a background security investigation before you can be appointed into this position.

MAJOR DUTIES:

DUTIES:
Incumbent screens all administrative mail addressed to the Associate Chief of Staff for Healthcare Analysis (ACOS/HCA).Maintains the daily schedule, and disseminates information as appropriate within the service.Provides administrative support for the Administrative Officer of the service and other service elements, serving as timekeeper, purchase card holder, and Service Record Training Coordinator.Incumbent provides support for the facility Informatics Advisory Council and for other section or facility-level task forces as directed and assigned by the ACOS/HCA.Responsibilities include maintaining Medical Staff Quality Assurance files for all facility providers as well as obtaining data for required reports from the Service and its components. Responsible for all typed documents and maintains various database systems, requiring writing clear and concise reports and summarizing data into useful information.Maintains procedures for filing records according to VA standards in the office of the ACOS/HCA and acts as Records Liason Officer for the Service and supervises the maintenance of appropriate hospital memoranda, bulletins, circulars, etc. for the Service, keeping them current.
