NCDE08471211D Logistics Management Specialist Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - MD - Prince George County MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); Prepares and recommends supplemental policy and program instruction affecting the logistical support operations in such areas as supply, food service, transportation, etc. Advises and orients higher echelons as to logistical status, support, and type required. The incumbent is responsible for making recommendations that will help enable units to achieve an operational readiness status. Provides input and monitors the budget for logistical requirements. Reviews requisitions against authorized allowances according to the appropriate authorization document. Analyzes recurring reports (i.e., Reports of Survey, Inventory Losses and Gains) and through personal observation analyzes equipment and other needs to support logistical operations. Recommends the disposition and redistribution of excess equipment and materiel consistent with established priorities and training needs as required. Conducts periodic and special staff visits throughout the command, rendering staff assistance.
