About the Position: About the Position: Name and Location of position's Organization: 84TH Army Reserve Readiness Training Command, 8 BDE (SROTC), 100 Division, Fort Knox, Kentucky.
This Position is under the supervision of the Deputy Commander.
84th USARRTC is often called "The Schoolhouse of the Army Reserve", trains the Reserve force to "go to work". Under its command are the Schools Brigade Readiness Training Academy, Information Operations Academy, the Non-Commissioned Officer Academies, Training Development Directorate, Strategic Training Directorate, Leadership Training Development, & Advanced Distributive Learning Directorate. 84th USARRTC is located in a new building with modern classroom and state of the art automation technology & ergonomic office facilities.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience applying military personnel principles, concepts, legal requirements, and procedures in the interpretation and application of law. Experience with the interrelationships of military personnel programs and automated systems supporting such programs. Responsibility for directing a human resources management program. Skill in communication, analysis and identification of facts, and recommendation of corrective action.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade or level requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position being filled.GS-12 and above: One year of experience directly related to the occupation and equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Plan for implementation of military personnel operations within command. Review, analyze & interpret regulations, directives, & reports. Programs include such functions as classification, pay, promotion, demotion, personnel utilization, transfer, awards, strength management, researching circumstances & responding to Congressional. Provide assistance to subordinate headquarters & units on military personnel matters. Make staff visits to provide assistance & assure compliance with policies & regulations. Maintain liaison with higher headquarters on military personnel management. Work with personnel offices in arranging servicing agreements & resolving problem areas. Disseminates information to assure command personnel understand their responsibilities related to civilian personnel. Plan work to be accomplished & prepares schedules for completion of work. Assign work. Evaluate work performance. Give advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work & administrative matters.
