About the Position: This position is for the 88th Regional Readiness Command, DCS, G1, Readiness Support Cell at Fort Snelling, Minnesota.
This position is under the supervision of the Company Commander of the unit.
Recruitment Bonus and PCS paid Must be new hire to Federal Government or have a break in service from Federal Government. Must incur two year obligation within Department of Defense. Must start on or before 30SEP08.
$3000.00 Recruitment bonus.
PCS paid for the first official duty station.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Best qualified candidates for this job must show in their resume that they have training or experience in the following areas: 1) Experience involving technical, analytical, advisory, liaison and coordinating duties for the USAR Unit Commander in the areas of personnel, financial management, training program administration and unit supply program. 2) Responsibility for establishing goals, setting priorities and distributing workload to accomplish the overall mission of the unit.The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened for the Office of Personnel Management's basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of this position as described in this vacancy announcement.Education can be substituted for experience. MAJOR DUTIES:

GS-5 LEVEL: Works in a developmental capacity performing assignments and completing training, aimed to prepare the incumbent to gain knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of the GS-07 level. GS-7 LEVEL: Serves as the principal administrator responsible for performance of a variety of technical, analytical, advisory, liaison and coordinating duties for the USAR Unit Commander in accomplishing the overall functions of the unit. Plans and establishes priorities; assigns, distributes and reviews work of subordinate unit sections and personnel. Manages unit and individual training. Manages personnel, finance and automated systems activities. Manages and provides technical review of completed personnel actions. Processes a variety of pay actions utilizing Defense Joint Military Pay System-Reserve Component and Automated Drill Attendance Reporting Software systems. Manages unit supply program. Serves as the key point of contact regarding recruitment and retention for the unit.
