Employee plans and organizes own work in accordance with applicable rules, directives and regulations. Problems of an unusual or precedent setting nature are referred to supervisor for resolution. Completed work is checked for completeness, timeliness and compliance with governing policies and procedures. Ensures periodic screening and purging of individual files in accordance with applicable regulations and directives. Composes, types and prepares various forms, technical and general correspondence, memos, reports, etc. Assures complete and accurate input of data elements, timely and accurate output reports for suspensing licensure and re-credentialing actions pending. General Schedule SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience is experience in office automation programs. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Skill in operating a manual or electric typewriter and personal computer. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, capitalization and punctuation needed to accurately type a variety of material from written sources or voice recordings. Knowledge of coding and filing to enter, store and retrieve material and formats. WTEW08561873 Health Systems Assistant (OA) Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - HI - Tripler, Ft. Shafter, Kapalama and Camp Smith MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); Establishes and maintains a Practitioner's Credentials File (PCF) and Practitioner?s Activity File (PAF) for appropriate individuals entering employment for the first time. Processes the PCF through the necessary departments/ services to determine the correct category of privileges. Prepares and maintains a PCF/PAF on all physician and nonphysician Health Care Providers. Enters required information concerning education, training and performance into the DoD Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS) system and various Microsoft programs including an Access database. Ensures all credentialing documents are received, primary-source verified, and authenticated. Ensures that privileges requested by the provider are appropriate for assignment, education, training and experience. Reviews Chief of Department approval/disapproval of privileges. Maintains the Credentials Office files.
