2008-DAL-0156 R&R Spec, CG-1101-12, 13, & 14 (ICTAP ONLY) QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: There is no substitution of education for experience at these grade levels. This position has Selective Placement Factors(SPF) identified below. The incumbent must possess both of the necessary SPFs in order to successfully perform the duties of the position to be filled. Your application materials should clearly indicate that you meet this requirement. 1.Skill in performing duties associated with a financial institution closing such as receivership management, resolutions and/or asset disposition; knowledge of the resolutions process as it relates to complex financial institutions. 2.Skill in analyzing, reconciling and balancing numerous accounts of failing or failed financial institutions. Applicants must possess the above Selective Placement Factors as well as one of the below. For the Grade 12:Applicant must have one year of specialized experience as described below equivalent to the grade 11 in the Federal Government as described below. Specialized experience is experience performing duties which require the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to participate in financial institution closings. This would include experience in one or more of the following: financial statements, loan liquidation/ workout, and negotiable instruments. For the Grade 13:Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience as described below equivalent to the grade 12 in the Federal Government as described below: Specialized experience is experience performing duties which require the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to be the primary contact and/or lead to assigned section when participating in financial institution closings. This would include experience in one or more of the following: financial statements, loan liquidation/ workout, negotiable instruments, economics, accounting, marketing, and finance For the Grade 14:Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience as described below equivalent to the grade 13 in the Federal Government as described below: Specialized experience is experience performing duties which require the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to be the contact for coordination with the Receiver-in-charge and the Closing Manager for the assigned section when participating in financial institution closings. This would include experience in one or more of the following: financial statements, loan liquidation/ workout, negotiable instruments, and assisting with legal review of contracts, economics, accounting, marketing, and finance. You may be assigned to any section within the Division of Resolutions and Receiverships to work on temporary assignments with other divisions of the FDIC. Responsible for gathering, compiling, researching and manipulating financial data to prepare a variety of financial documents, management reports and presentations.Analyzes financial statements, operating and project reports, cost data, pricing, managerial practices, capital and reserves, credit condition, loan file documentation, cash flows and other elements to determine the soundness of the assets held by an insured institution and determine the risks and value of assets and liabilities.Evaluates and reports on failing, failed, or acquiring financial institution transactions and recommends action based on procedural directives, current policy, and special circumstances of the institution with the goal of achieving the least cost resolutions.
