Incumbent possesses knowledge of, and skill in applying, the principles, practices, and procedures involved in administering a military awards program. Incumbent performs management advisory services for specific requests related to immediate problems of limited scope and analyze segments of Military Personnel Management issues or problems. Incumbent must have the knowledge of the working relationships between military systems at USARC, AR-PERSCOM, and the local database in order to maintain an effective military personnel database. Advises supervisor and staff on administrative matters pertaining to all types of military personnel actions/changes in policies and procedures. Oversees/assists with the publication of military personnel-type orders to include discharge/promotion certificates. Maintains thorough reference file to justify every order published. Manages CSM program/coordinates/advises supervisor/staff on CSM actions. Reviews administrative/military personnel related correspondence submitted by the organization/subordinate units for transmission to higher headquarters. Prepares recurring/one time reports as required. Reviews incoming regulations/directives relating to administration/military personnel programs/functions/procedures. Performs a variety of tasks related to general administrative functions/procedures. Serves as point of contact in the personal area for Military Exercises.
