Aviation Safety Inspector (Aircraft Dispatch)
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
At least two (2) years experience as a Part 121 scheduled domestic and\or scheduled international (flag) dispatcher and at least one (1) year experience in one or more of the following positions:
- Air Transportation Supervisor (ATS)
- Designated aircraft dispatcher examiner (DADE)
- Aircraft dispatcher with primary responsibility for developing, creating, and\or revising dispatch manuals and procedures which require a comprehensive knowledge of FAA regulatory requirements and current FAA policy for a Part 121 air carrier
- Dispatch instructor for a Part 121 air carrier.
HOW YOU WILL BE EVALUATED:
Applications first will be reviewed to determine if they meet the minimum qualification requirements. Failure to meet minimum qualification requirements automatically disqualifies an applicant.
RECENCY OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
At least one (1) year of the specialized experience must have been gained within the last three (3) years.

Aircraft Dispatch Certificate. (You must provide a copy of your certificate with your application.)

Ensures that the individuals and organizations continuously meet the standards prescribed by and applicable to Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR), agency orders and directives. Ensures compliance in all aspects of dispatch and operational control-related issues through the use of a planned surveillance and inspection program on a continuing basis.

VETERANS' PREFERENCE:

MINIMUM ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR AVIATION SAFETY INSPECTOR POSITIONS:
All applicants must meet the following basic requirements and must self-certify as such in their application with responses to the following:
1. Not more than two (2) separate incidents involving Federal Aviation Regulations violations in the last five (5) years;
2. Valid State driver's license;
3. Fluency in English;
4. No chemical dependencies or drug abuse that could interfere with job performance; and,
5. High school graduate or equivalent.
PROMOTION POTENTIAL:
