To qualify for the YD-02, the best applicants must posses one (1) year specialized experience. Conducts detailed inspection of construction activities. Interprets plans and specifications for Inspector?s and contractor?s field representatives. Obtains engineering data for discussions on construction and engineering problems. Studies plans and specifications to obtain a thorough knowledge of construction requirements and design criteria. Recommends addenda or changes to plans and specifications. Makes recommendations for changes in design or specifications as a result of changed conditions at the work site. Makes recommendations concerning labor difficulties, materials, shortages, and other problems affecting work progress. Provides necessary reports and data for preparation of payment of estimates and reports. Plans and reviews work, sets priorities, and makes assignments.
