This is an open continuous announcement that will be used to establish an inventory of applications interested in a career as a Supervisory Auditor, GS-511-14. This inventory of applicants will be used to fill both current and future vacancies within a variety of duty locations. The first cut-off date for receipt of applications will be 07/17/08. WAS-197465-MH OCA MPP Supervisory Auditor QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience that equipped you with the skills needed to perform the job duties.This experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level.Examples include applying a professional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, theories, concepts, practices and auditing standards in order to plan, develop, and lead audits on complex accounting systems and disseminating expert guidance on audit approaches and techniques. In addition to the above statement, you must meet one of the following basic education requirements: 1. Successful completion of all requirements for a bachelor s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, or public administration that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours in accounting.The 24 hours may include up to 6 hours of credit in business law. Or, 2. Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in accounting, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge AND 24 semester hours in accounting/auditing courses or a certificate as a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Internal Auditor.
