The incumbent of this position is required to review the weekly, monthly, and quarterly IDRS security reports for indications of improper activities, including researching all usage of command codes which are not currently in appropriate profiles. Identifies potential and actual problems, probable causes; researches specific issues, gathers pertinent statistics of information, reports findings and recommends corrective action and in some cases causing removal of employees. Monitors, reviews, and evaluates information on data security access and assists users on a wide range of security administrative processes, procedures, and measures. Adds and deletes users to automated information systems ensuring all necessary information on access requests has been entered; assigns and distributes passwords. Establishes and updates such files as the Maximum Profile Authorization File (MPAF) and the Unit Command Profiles (UCP). Maintains record of all control numbers and users. Receives, separates, and distributes sensitive weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to management. Revises procedures, controls, etc., as indicated by studies or assigned by analyst. Prepares memoranda, reports, and charts showing findings or recommendations.Possible physical requirements such as long periods of standing, bending, stretching, reaching or similar activities.
