AWA-AJR-08-LB41930-107711 Air Traffic Control Specialist QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must possess the experience in a military or civilian air traffic facility that demonstrates possession of the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the level of work of the specialization for which the application is made. Applicant must have a comprehensive knowledge of appropriate air traffic control procedures, laws, operations, rules and regulations. Creditable experience must have equipped applicants with the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the full range of duties of the position for which application is being made. Such experience is typically demonstrated by accomplishment of assignments of the difficulty and responsibility described in the position classification standard used to evaluate positions at the next lower level in the normal line of promotion to the position being filled. US Citizen Excepted Service: The FAA is an excepted service agency. Basic Federal employee benefits remain the same as other Federal agencies. AWA-AJR-08-LB41930-107711 Air Traffic Control Specialist Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - Washington DC MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); The incumbent will serve as an Air Traffic Control Procedures Specialist (terminal specialty), for the Procedures Development Group (PDG). This position requires a broad knowledge of air traffic control practices and principles gained through operational experience in an air traffic control terminal facility. Responsibilities include: develop and coordinate procedures for new or changes to air traffic control directives and instructions such as FAAO 7110.65-Air Traffic Control, FAAO 7210.3-Facility Operation and Administration, and other aeronautical information publications. He/she will respond to internal and external inquiries, provide procedural interpretations consistent with established operational goals and objectives; represents air traffic procedural interests effectively with other organizations; develop recommendations, plans, change documents, and reports. He/She provides technical liaison to other service units and lines of business, and adheres to safety risk management system requirements in procedures processes.
