AF-09-008-217123-JW Marketing Specialist (Lead) QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: You must at least meet one of the following qualification requirements: A.Specialized Experience: Candidate must have at least one year of specialized experience in exercising creativity/innovation and marketing/business savvy to attract and retain customers in a variety of demographic groups.Administering a variety of entertainment programs in line with current market trends that meet the needs of a diverse military/DoD civilian customer base.Providing prompt, accurate guidance and direction to subordinate managers/employees regarding policies, procedures, directives of management, and administrative matters. This experience must be equivalent to the next lower level and must be at a level of difficulty and complexity sufficient to demonstrate the ability to perform the duties of this position.The description of your work experience in your application (OF-612, or other acceptable written format) must clearly demonstrate that you have gained and currently possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position being filled: 1. Knowledge of personnel management policies, practices and procedures. 2. Knowledge of the principles and practices of marketing, public relations, and commercial sponsorship, including the use of marketing research survey methods, the analysis of data to determine customer needs, and appropriate marketing strategies. 3.Knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques, and practices of recreation programs. 4.Ability to develop financial budgets and meet fiscal expectations for the Marketing Department. 5.Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, using a high degree of tact and diplomacy. -OR- B.Education:Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level education leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university, or LL.M., if related. -OR- C.Combination of Specialized Experience and Education:Have a combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described in "A" or "B" above.This combination must equal 100 percent when combined to equal the required 1 year of specialized experience.(Note: Only graduate education beyond the first 36 semester hours may be used to combine with specialized experience). OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS Work may require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft in accordance with Joint Travel Regulations. WORK ENVIRONMENT:Work is typically performed in an adequately lighted and climate controlled office.
