 JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must have experience in a quality control environment, either in a food or pharmaceutical plant, preferably in a USDA regulated operation. Minimum educational requirements are a High School diploma with some college preferred. The successful applicant will have excellent reading, writing, and analytical skills plus basic math and computer abilities. Additionally, the selected candidate must be assertive, detail oriented, attentive, and be able to contribute positively toward improved efficiencies and cost. It will be essential to be able to work well within a team environment and provide leadership within the quality assurance organization as needed. Familiarity with various food testing methods, including microbiological, chemical, and physical analysis is a definite plus. The position will require varied hours, and may include evening shifts. Monday through Friday. Some overtime and weekend work will be necessary from time to time.
 
 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES,  DUTIES, TASKS
This position reports to the Director of Quality and is responsible for day to day plant, product, and manufacturing operations inspection to assure compliance with all regulatory and company food safety and/or quality procedures. Specific duties will include packaging inspections, temperature verification, facilities inspections, verification of sanitation standards, verification of all required processing and HACCP records, standard operating procedures verification, formulation audits, and similar duties. Additionally, the job will require interaction with production personnel, some physical analysis of product, incoming ingredient inspection, storage verification, and monitoring of general plant operations and GMP’s. Other duties will be assigned as required by management.
