| JOB REQUIREMENTS |

Education
The ideal candidate will have a PhD in the area of Computer Networking/ Sensor Networks/ Mobile Ad-hoc Networks/ Embedded Systems. |

| JOB RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, TASKS |
|
The ideal candidate must be well versed with different MANET design architectures, Network Coding concepts and Unicast and Multi-cast routing protocols (OLSR, AODV, ODMRP, MOLSR etc.). Candidate must have research credentials in developing distributed algorithms for complex networked systems. Candidate must be well versed with MAC layer protocols. Familiarity with centralized and decentralized optimization techniques is a huge plus. Candidate must be proficient in Network simulation tools like OPNET and QualNet. Experience with networking test-beds and field testing is preferred.
The candidate must be fluent in software analysis, design, and development using C++, MATLAB programming environments as well as in scripting languages like Perl and Python.
The candidate is expected to provide subject matter expertise: establish in-depth knowledge and suggest directions for further progress in UC’s intelligent networking technologies. Candidate is expected to build strong relationships with academia on research problems of interest to UC.
The candidate will actively provide technical assistance and guidance in preparing proposals, reports, and presentations for internal and external sources such as government agencies and business partners.
