DCIPS temporary assignments are extendable up to four years. This announcement may also be used to temporarily fill positions by detail of present federal employees. These are combat support jobs that substitute for military personnel that cannot presently be supplied by the services. NCBG06000039R5 Intelligence Specialist (Operations) QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Click on link below to view qualification standard. DCIPS Qualifications DUTIES: The Intelligence Specialist (Opns-HUMINT) directs, coordinates, and participates in collection operations to obtain information in support of requirements, and/or interrogates, translates, and interprets as defined by regulation and agreements. The Intelligence Specialist (Opns-IMINT) exploits and supervises the exploitation of radar and optically recorded images and plans and coordinates strategic surveillance and reconnaissance requirements. The Intelligence Specialist (Operations-MASINT/AGI) directs, coordinates, and participates in Advanced Geospatial Intelligence production/dissemination/requirements. QUALIFICATIONS: Equivalent Army Military Position Titles and MOS: Tactical 35D/350B; CI 35E/351B; SIGINT 35G/352D; HUMINT 35F/351E; IMINT 35C; MASINT. Experience in MI in other services could also be qualifying. Applicants with military experience will be evaluated on the recency of holding an applicable MOS and rank, on experience while in the military, on completion of required military training and on additional knowledge, experience and education obtained out of the military. The experience described in your resume will be evaluated and screened against the Civilian Intelligence Personnel Management System/Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System basic qualifications requirements, and the skills needed to perform the duties of the positions as described in this announcement. The salary listed above includes base pay and additional compensation that MAY include a 10-35% foreign post differential; 0-35% danger pay; substantial overtime, and a recruitment/retention/relocation incentive. Base pay for these positions is $45,095 - $108,483. SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: Some positions may require fluency in and/or knowledge of indigenous languages. Please indicate on your resume any foreign language ability and level of skill. SECURITY CLEARANCE: GENERALLY TS/SCI BUT SOMETIMES SECRET CLEARANCE SUFFICIENT. Candidates with current clearances or have a past clearance that can be immediately reinstated will have hiring preference. PREMIUM PAY AND TOTAL PAY CAPS APPLY. The law requires that all compensation earned by a civilian employee of the government while deployed is taxable. LIVING AND WORKING CONDITIONS: You will be required to deploy overseas on Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) or Temporary Change of Station (TCS) and share living and working conditions with military personnel. Generally, you will work a 12 hour day, seven days a week. As a civilian, you are eligible for the same medical care as military personnel while deployed. LOCALITY PAY does not apply to TCS assignments. REST AND RECUPERATION LEAVE PROGRAM: Incumbents serving on appointments exceeding one year are eligible for US CENTRAL COMMAND's Rest and Recuperation Leave Program. The Intelligence Specialist (Operations-CI) manages, directs, coordinates, and participates in CI activities and investigations of individuals, groups, and incidents to detect, identify and neutralize espionage, subversion, sabotage, treason, sedition, terrorism directed against the U.S. Army, as well as determining suitability for access to classified information. The Intelligence Specialist (Operations - SIGINT) plans and supervises the collection, production, and dissemination of tactical, operational and strategic SIGINT and EW operations in support of the Army in the field.
