09-OPIC-07 Director, Credit Policy (Open Until Filled, Cut-off every two weeks beginning December 11th, 2008) QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Applicants must have at least 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade-level in the Federal service or private sector.Specialized experience should be directly related to the duties of the position that entails experience in commercial banking, investment banking, and project financing in the development and management of employees with a focus in the area of credit approval policies and procedures and serving as an advisor to a high level official. Education cannot be substituted for specialized experience at this grade level. Qualification requirements are based on the U.S. Office of Personnel Management?s ?Qualification Standards Operating Manual?. You must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for this position. This position supports the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) and is designated as a mission-critical emergency position that is required to perform certain OPIC mission critical essential function (s), or to provide critical support for performance of OPIC mission essential functions, during certain types of emergencies or disasters. You must successfully complete a background investigation upon entrance on duty. 09-OPIC-07 Director, Credit Policy (Open Until Filled, Cut-off every two weeks beginning December 11th, 2008) Additional Duty Location Info:1 vacancy - Washington DC Metro Area, DC MAJOR DUTIES: BackToTop(); This position is responsible for the development and management of the OPIC Credit Policy Group as an advisor for credit policy to the President and CEO.Responsibilities include: serving as chairperson of the OPIC Credit Committee, managing and developing credit approval policies and procedures for the administration of the Direct Loan and Investment Guaranty Programs; designing and implementing new and innovative approaches to credit policy issues; assessing new loan and guaranty products; presenting and defending project credit assessments and proposals to top corporation officials and stake holders; identifying, developing, presenting, and executing effective plans to streamline and improve credit policy activities of the corporation; ensuring that the corporation responds to changes in international banking and U. S.
