JOB SUMMARY: As the Supervisory Deputy Director, Marine Corps Pacific Posture Directorate (MCPPD), the incumbent serves as a supervising operations manager for the Directorate with continuing long-term responsibility for coordinating and supervising planning cells, working groups, and inter-departmental and inter-agency decision making forums.In concert with the Director?s intent, assigns employees to working groups, sets priorities and prepares schedules for completion, establishes performance criteria, counsels employees, and serves as the reporting official to subordinate personnel.Develops recommendations and courses of action for the Deputy Commandant, Plans Policies, and Operations (DC, PP&O) on policies and issues which impact the MCPPD capabilities, requirements, risk, structure, equipment, training, and budget support.Supervises the MCPPD?s preparations of responses to taskings, information papers, and briefings to and from the Secretary of Defense, Secretary of the Navy Commandant of the Marine Corps, and the DC, PP&O.The incumbent directs development and provides recommendations for establishment of new and/or revision of existing Marine Corps policies associated with the Marine Corps realignment in the Pacific and reports impact associated with or anticipated problems with plans, policies, and operational capability.Directs project management responsibilities as assigned.
