DUTIES:
The incumbent performs work involving running freight or passenger elevators and Subway cars. The work includes opening and closing elevator gates and doors, working elevator controls, loading and unloading the elevator, and/or giving information and directions to passengers.
The incumbent performs work involving subway car operation. Manipulates switches to run an electric subway car and keeps the tracks clear. Ensures passenger safety and answers questions from the general public.
